About
Thank you for your interest in attending the Michigan Physician Scientist (DO/MD-PhD) Virtual Interest Day for Underrepresented Minorities (URM)!

This event is proudly hosted and sponsored by the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) DO-PhD Program, the American Physician Scientist Association (APSA), and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to further equity by garnering more interest in DO/MD-PhD programs for students traditionally under-represented in research and medicine.

We will talk about what a career as a physician-scientist looks like, the structure and details of DO/MD-PhD training programs, have break-out lunch sessions with current students, host a Keynote Speaker Panel, and have an opportunity to a Q&A! This will be an incredibly exciting opportunity to discuss these programs, and gather information on future career paths and training in relevance to various URM experiences in both medicine and research!
Submit Questions
To make the panel discussions go smoothly, please submit any Q&A questions you many have beforehand. You will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of each session, however, this will help us keep the discussion flowing.
*Due to limited time, not all questions submitted might be asked.
